Robby Succumbs to Schwank in Four Sets September 01, 2010
In the first round of the 2010 US Open, Robby faced Argentine Eduardo Schwank in the day-time action at the Billie Jean King Tennis Center on Tuesday after. After trailing behind 6-4 in the first set, Robby continued to fight and keep the match close with Schwank which resulted in the second set going to a deciding tiebreaker that Schwank eventually pulled out 7-3.
Still battling in the third set, Robby showed signs of making a comeback by winning it 6-4 however, in the fourth set, Robby finally succumbed to Schwank for a final match score of 6-4, 7-6, 4-6, 6-3 in Schwank's favor to end Robby's run at this year's US Open.

Robby Swings Into Action in Tuesday Line-up of Play at the US Open August 31, 2010
Today Robby will be in action at the Billie Jean King Tennis Center in Flushing, New York, for his first round of action at the 2010 US Open. Up first, he will take on Argentine Eduardo Schwank on Court 4 as the second match scheduled to play after the 11:00 a.m. start. Robby has a 1-0 win/loss record against Schwank, with their last meeting coming over a year ago in Indianapolis when it took Robby three sets to overcome Schwank in the Round of 16.
At the US Open, Robby will aso be sporting the Under Armour Freedom line, a brand initiative developed to honor and support US Military and public safety officials in honor of indepedence day and offers continuous monetary, product and volunteer support to military troops, police officers, firefighters and paramedics at home and abroad.
Through the brand’s partnership with the Wounded Warrior Project, a non-profit organization that provides programs and services for injured service members, Under Armour will create specially designed Wounded Warrior Project apparel that can be purchased through the UA Freedom website. A portion of these proceeds will be donated to the Wounded Warrior Project and aid in their mission of honoring and empowering wounded warriors. 2010 US Open Draws Revealed - Robby Serves Up Eduardo Schwank August 26, 2010
Earlier today the draws for the 2010 US Open were revealed in the US Open Draw Announcement Special, which was broadcasted on ESPN2 and ESPN3.com with studio host Chris McKendry and analysts Mary Joe Fernandez and Brad Gilbert. At the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center, Patrick McEnroe hosted the actual picking of names from the US Open Trophy, as defending champion Kim Clijsters, USTA President and Chairman of the Board Lucy Garvin and US Open Tournament Director Jim Curley took turns pulling names from the trophy, which were then announced by US Open Tournament Referee Brian Earley.
Robby, who is located in the third quarter and bottom half of the Men's Singles Draw along with top seeds Novak Djokovic, Nikolay Davydenko, Mardy Fish and Andy Roddick, served up Argentine Eduardo Schwank for his first round of singles action. Battle with Davydenko Ends in Three Sets August 19, 2010
In his second round match at the Western & Southern Financial Group Masters underway in Cincinnati this week, Robby took on #6 seed Nikolay Davydenko of Russia late in the afternoon on Tuesday. In what turned out to be a battle between the two tough hard court players, Davydenko won the first 6-2 before Robby stepped on the gas to battle back in the second set. Capturing the second set in a tiebreaker 7-5, Robby forced Davydenko to a third set but was unable to hold off the tough Russian who prevailed winning the final set 6-2 for an overall match score of 6-2, 6-7 (5-7), 6-2.

Robby Fights Back Against Devvarman to Advance in Cincinnati August 17, 2010
In a thrilling first round, night match at the Western & Southern Financial Group Masters in Cincinnati on Monday, Robby faced Somdev Devvarman of India in what turned out to be a three-set battle between the two players. With Devvarman taking the first set from Robby in a tiebreaker (7-3), Robby continued to fight his way back in the second set and push the set to yet another deciding tiebreaker but this time winning it (7-4) to even the match and push it late into Monday night.
Finally, after over two hours and thirty minutes and nearing midnight, Robby pulled ahead against Devarrman in the third set to win it 6-2 and advance to the second round in Cincinnati this week. Up next, Robby will take on #6 seed Nikolay Davydenko of Russia and the two will take the court on Wednesday after getting a day off Tuesday to recover from the late night match against Devvarman.

Robby to be Featured Nigh Match in Cincinnati August 16, 2010
Tonight Robby will get underway at the Western & Southern Financial Group Masters in Cincinnati, Ohio, as one of the featured night matches for his first round match action. Following Roddick versus Stakhovsky at 7:00 p.m., Robby will take on Somdev Devvarman of India on stadium court. This will be the first time Robby has ever faced Devvarman in an ATP event with both players only 11 spots apart on the rankings.

Robby Gears Up for Cincinnati August 09, 2010
This week Robby is practicing hard at home to gear up for his next Olympus US Open Series event - The Western & Southern Group Financial - in Cincinnati, Ohio. Getting underway on Sunday, August 15th, it will be Robby's last event before heading to the US Open in New York later this month. Robby was recently sidelined at the Legg Mason Tennis Classic in Washington, DC due to a minor hip injury he suffered at the Farmers Classic in LA a couple of weeks ago, but will be ready to go in Cincinnati next week.

Robby Sidelined for Legg Mason Tennis Classic in DC August 02, 2010
This week Robby will be sidelined for the Legg Mason Tennis Classic getting underway in Washington DC due to a hip injury he is recovering from. Robby incurred the hip injury last week while he was out in LA for the Farmers Classic, but will be back in action in a couple of weeks for the Western & Southern Financial Group in Cincinnati starting August 15th.

Robby Fights Back but Topped by Schuettler in Three July 28, 2010
In his second round match at the LA Farmers Classic on Wednesday, Robby took on German opponent Rainer Schuettler at high noon on stadium court at the UCLA campus. After falling behind 6-3 in the first set, Robby fought back against Schuettler in the second set and won it 6-3 to even the match at one set a piece. In the third, and final, set though, Schuettler proved to be too tough for Robby today winning it 6-4 by one break of serve and ending his run in LA.

Robby Cruises Through First Round, Eyes Schuettler Next July 27, 2010
In his first round at the LA Farmers Classic getting underway at the UCLA campus this week, Robby cruised through his opponent Llijac Bozoljac who was also a qualifier. Winning in straight sets 6-3, 6-4 on Tuesday afternoon in LA, up next Robby eyes German opponent Rainer Schuetller who also won his first round after his opponent retired to illness.
Robby and Schuettler have a head-to-head of 1-1 (one win and one loss a piece) with their other two match-ups coming in 2003 at the ATP Masters Series in Madrid and Cincinnati. Robby and Schuettler are scheduled to play as the first match on stadium court at high noon (12:00 p.m.), on Wednesday, so make sure and check back soon to get all the latest updates on Robby out in LA!

Robby Heads to LA for Farmers Classic July 26, 2010
After falling to eventual Champion Mardy Fish at the Atlanta Tennis Championships last week, Robby headed out to Los Angeles on the West Coast for his next Olympus US Open Series event getting underway today. The Farmers Classic is being played at the tennis courts on the UCLA campus, and will showcase some of the top ATP World Tour Singles players including Andy Murrary (seeded #1), Sam Querrey (seeded #2), Felciano Lopez (seeded #3) and more.
Robby is located on the bottom half of the singles draw, and up first will face another qualifier to get things started. Robby is not scheduld in Monday's order of play, but will likely be in action on Tuesday for his first round matchup. Make sure and check back soon to get all the latest updates on Robby out in LA.

Fish Too Tough for Robby in Atlanta July 22, 2010
In the featured night match on stadium court at the Atlanta Tennis Championships Wednesday night, Robby took on fellow American and friend Mardy Fish in their Round of 16 match-up. Although Robby led the overall head-to-head against Fish 3-1, Fish came out strong and looking to avenge his previous losses and cruised through the first set winning it 6-1 against Robby. The second proved to be much closer with Robby fighting to win it and even the match, however Fish proved to be too tough in the end for Robby winning it 7-5 for a straight set win over Robby in his hometown.

Robby Through Lindahl, Fish Up Next July 21, 2010
In his first round match at the Atlanta Tennis Championships (and first match of the 2010 Summer Hard Court Season), Robby took down qualifier Nick Lindahl of Australia in straight sets 7-6 (7-4), 6-2 to advance to the Round of 16 where he will face fellow American Mardy Fish. The two friends are scheduled to play as the featured night match on stadium court and will get underway as the second match on after 6:30 p.m. following John Isner and Gilles Muller.
This week Robby has had lots of support from friends and family who live in the Atlanta area coming out to cheer him on and it is expected to be a full house again tonight when Robby takes on Fish for the fifth time in his career leading the overall head-to-head 3-1. Robby to Face Nick Lindahl at Atlanta Tennis Championships July 20, 2010
In hist first round match at the Atlanta Tennis Championships, Robby will take on qualifier Nick Lindahl of Australia and the two are scheduled to play at 4:00 p.m. today on center court. The winner of the match will take on Mardy Fish next in the Round of 16 who already won his first round match against James Ward in straight sets 6-1, 6-2 on Monday.

Robby Kicks-off Summer Hard Court Season in Atlanta July 18, 2010
This summer Robby will kick-off the hard court season and the Olympus US Open Series in his hometown at the Atlanta Tennis Championships. Main draw action will get underway Monday, July 19th, at the Atlanta Athletic Club with Robby not scheduled to play his first round until Tuesday or Wednesday.
Up first, Robby will take on a qualifier and is located in the top half of the draw with other tough Americans such as #1 seed Andy Roddick, Mardy Fish, James Blake and Taylor Dent. In the bottom half of the draw, fellow American John Isner is the #2 seed.

Robby Hits the Hardcourts July 06, 2010
With the European leg of summer ATP events now over, Robby is back home in Georgia hitting the hardcourts to train for the upcoming 2010 US Open Series leading up to the US Open on August 30th. First on Robby's schedule will be the Atlanta Tennis Championships right in his hometown back yard getting under July 19th, followed by the Farmers Classic in Los Angeles later in July and then the Legg Mason Tennis Classic starting August 1st.

Soderling Stuns Robby at Wimbledon June 23, 2010
In the opening round of play at the 2010 Wimbledon Championships, Robby faced #6 seed and 2010 Roland Garros Men's Singles Finalist Robin Soderling of Sweden who was unwavering throughout their entire match. Although Robby previously defeated Soderling earlier this year in Chennai in straight sets, he was unable to hold-off the determined Swede who stunned Robby in straight sets this time on Centre Court 6-2, 6-2, 6-3 to eliminate Robby from this year's Wimbledon Championships.

Robby Serves Up Soderling First at Wimbledon June 21, 2010
In the first round of the 2010 Wimbledon Championships, Robby has served up #6 seed Robin Soderling of Sweden with the two located in the last quarter of Gentleman's Singles draw along with #2 seed Rafael Nadal. Robby and Soderling were not in action on Monday for the opening day of play, but will likely be in the line-up of play for Tuesday. Robby In Top Form Against Korolev June 17, 2010
In his first match at the Boodles Challenge in England this week, Robby was in top form against opponent Evgeny Korolev who he cruised through in a straight set win 6-4, 6-1 on Wednesday. This was Robby's first career win over Korolev after several encounters the two have had the past couple of years with their most recent meeting in Bangkok in 2009.

Robby to Compete at the Boodles Challenge June 15, 2010
This week Robby is in Buckinghamshire, England, preparing to get underway at the Boodles Challenge in Stoke Park. In addition to Robby, the pre-Wimbledon warm-up event will welcomes four top ten ATP World Tour players including Novak Djokovic, Nikolay Davydenko, Fernando Verdasco and Jo-Wilfried Tsonga who will entertain the crowds at this summer's most exclusive exhibition tennis tournament.

Querrey Proves Too Tough on Grass at Queens June 09, 2010
On Wednesday at the Queens Club in London, Robby got underway in his second round singles match at the AEGON Championships against Sam Querrey after rain delayed play on Tuesday. Querrey, who was looking to avenge his recent four set loss to Robby at Roland Garros, did not show any signs of surrendering this time. The first set had no breaks in serve between the two Americans with Querrey eventually winning the set in a tiebreaker 7-4.
In the second set though, Querrey was able to break Robby's serve twice to close out the match in straight sets 7-6 (7-4), 6-2 and advance to the Round of 16. Robby will next be in action at AEGON International in Eastbourne before Wimbledon gets underway on June 21st.

First Round Win at Queens Lines-up Rematch with Querrey June 07, 2010
In his first round of grass court action this year, Robby took on James Ward of Great Britian on Monday in their opening round of play at the AEGON Championships getting underway at the Queens Club in London this week. Advancing in a straight set win 6-3, 7-5 over Ward, Robby lined-up a rematch against fellow American Sam Querrey in the second round who is seeded #7 this week.
Robby and Querrey just faced each other in the first round of Roland Garros two weeks ago when Robby upset Querrey in four sets, however the two have never played each other on grass court. Robby currently leads the head-to-head against Querrey 2-0, woth one win on hard court and the other on clay. The schedule has not yet been released for when Robby will have hist first meeting with Querrey on the grass in Queens, so make sure and check back soon!

Robby Gears Up for Grass June 03, 2010
This week Robby is gearing up for the grass courts in London with Wimbledon getting underway on June 21st, and up first is the AEGON Championships taking place at the Queens Club. First round singles action will start Monday with a tough field of competitors including 2009 Singles Champion Andy Murrary along with Andy Roddick, Novak Djokovic, Rafael Nadal and more entered to play.

Robby Pushes Djokovic to Four Sets, Unable to Hold-off in the End May 31, 2010
On Monday in Paris, Robby took on #3 seed at the 2010 Roland Garros Championships Novak Djokovic on Court Philippe Chartier. The two were the first match of the day getting underway at 11:00 a.m. to start off the second week of action at Roland Garros.
In the first set, Robby and Djokovic remained on serve until 4-4 when Djokovic broke Robby to eventually close out the set 6-4, and in the second set, Robby fought back against the top seed to break him twice in and close it out 6-2.
Heading into the third set, Djokovic took an early lead against Robby to win the set 6-1 followed by the fourth set which Djokovic closed out 6-2 to win the match in four sets and end Robby's run in Paris.

Robby Takes Down Ferrero to Advance to Roland Garros 4th Round, Only American Remaining in Week Two May 29, 2010
On Saturday afternoon in Paris, Robby posted the biggest win of his career on clay over the #18th-ranked and 2003 Roland Garros Champion Juan Carlos Ferrero 7-5, 6-3, 3-6, 2-6, 7-5 after a three hour and sixteen minute battle.
In the first set, Robby trailed Ferrero by one break of serve 5-4, but fought back to eventually close it out 7-5 and take a quick lead in the second set of 3-0. Robby won the second set 6-3 by one break of serve before Ferrero began to put up a strong fight in the third and fourth set by winning both to push the match to a fifth, and deciding, set.

Finally, after three hours and sixteen minutes, Robby captured the fifth set 6-4 to win the match against the Spaniard and advance the fourth round and second week of the 2010 Roland Garros Men's Singles. Robby is now the only American man still standing in both the singles and doubles draws, and this is the second time in his career Robby has advanced to the Round of 16 at the French Open.

Robby Rallies Back Against Starace to Advance to Third Round May 28, 2010
After play was suspended nearly a day on Thursday due to rain falling Paris, Robby finally was in action on Friday for his second round match against Potito Starace of Italy at the 2010 Roland Garrros. Getting off to a slow start, Robby trailed Starace 6-3 after the first set before rallying back in the second set to win it 6-4 followed by capturing the third set 6-3 and eventually closing out the match in the fourth set after winning it 6-3 again.
In his post match press conference, Robby informed reporters: Yeah, I feel strong. Two days off, you know, I was ready to go yesterday, but I was fortunate that I didn't have to go on and off, on and off. That's the toughest part about the rain delays.
Up next, Robby will face Juan Carlos Ferrero of Spain on Saturday and the two are scheduled to be the third match on Court 1 after an 11:00 a.m. start. Ferrero is the #16 men's singles seed this year and also was the 2003 Roland Garros Singles Champion. Going into this match, Robby had a few remarks to leave the reporters with: It'll be a pretty good test for me. Obviously winning here in the past he knows how to play on this stuff. It's gonna be a dogfight out there. I'm gonna be ready for some long points, and try to apply my power to his game and see what happens.

After rain fell in Paris on Wednesday to make for stop-and-start play on-court, on Thursday it nearly washed out an entire day of second round action at Roland Garros. Robby's second round singles match against Potito Starace of Italy was pushed to Friday when play will resume under sunny conditions, and the two are scheduled to play second on Court 16 after an 11:00 a.m. start.

Robby Takes Down Querrey in Four Sets in Opening Round of Roland Garros May 25, 2010
On Tuesday afternoon in Paris, Robby took on fellow American Sam Querrey in his opening round match of the 2010 Roland Garros who is seeded #18 this year and currently ranked #21 on the ATP World Tour. After trailing behind 6-4 in the first set, Robby fought back in the second set against Querrey who was looking to continue his winning streak on the red clay this summer to even the match at one set a piece after capturing the second set in a tiebreaker 7-3.
In the third set, Robby prevailed 6-4 to take the lead for the first time in the match with Querrey, and followed it up by winning the fourth set 6-2 to take down Querrey 4-6, 7-6, 6-4, 6-2 and advance to the second round of Roland Garros.

Robby to Have All American First Round at Roland Garros May 23, 2010
In the first round of the 2010 Roland Garros, Robby will have an all American match-up when he takes on fellow American, and teammate from last week's AARG ATP World Team Championships, Sam Querrey who is seeded #18 in the men's singles draw. Robby and Sam will likely be in action on Tuesday in Paris, as the two are not in the line-up for schedule of play on Monday.
Robby and Sam's only previous meeting on the ATP World Tour was in 2009 at the Indianapolis Tennis Championship where Robby defeated Sam in the finals in straight sets to claim his only ATP Singles Title of 2009. Argentina Defeats Team USA in the Finals of the AARG ATP World Team Championships May 23, 2010
In the finals of the 2010 AARG ATP World Team Championships on Saturday, Argentina defeated Team USA 2-1 to win their fourth ATP World Team Championships title. Heading up the singles action first for Team USA was Sam Querrey who faced Juan Monaco and was ahead by one set before the Argentine came back and defeated Sam in three sets 1-6, 6-2, 6-3.
Following Sam in the singles line-up was Robby in the second match who faced Horacio Zeballos in what turned out to be an extremely close three set match, and with Zeballos eventually winning 6-4,6-7,7-5 to capture the title for the Argentines. Dynamic doubles duo Bob & Mike Bryan finished up the match-up by crushing their opponents Diego Veronelli and Eduardo Schwank 6-1, 6-2 for a final team score of 2-1 in Argentina's favor.
In past years, Team USA has won the ATP World Team Championships four times (along with Germany, Spain, Sweden and now Argentina) and have an overall win/loss record of 9-2 when facing Argentina. Team USA to Compete in the Finals AARG ATP World Team Championships May 21, 2010
On Friday in Dusseldorf, Germany, Team USA secured a spot in the finals after defeating the Czech Republic Team 2-1. Following Sam Querrey's opening singles round win against the Czech Republic on Thursday, John Isner took the court against Tomas Berdych on Friday who defeated the lenghty American in three sets 1-6, 6-1, 7-6 in over two hours of clay court action. Again, Bob & MIke Bryan faced-off in the deciding doubles match which they pervailed with a 7-5, 7-5 win for Team USA to win the Red Group Round Robin and advance to the finals of the AARG ATP World Team Championships.
On Saturday, Team USA will take on Team Argentina who was the winner of the Blue Group Round Robin and defeated France in the semifinals. Saturday's final will be the first time the USA will have a chance to win the title since 1993, and of which Robby is scheduled to play in the singles line-up along with Sam Querrey. Team USA has faced Argentina ten times in the ATP World Team Championships and won nine of those ten meetings.

Team USA Defeats Spain in Dusseldorf, Czech Republic Matchup Underway May 20, 2010
Following the singles action against Spain on Tuesday, with Robby being defeated in three sets and Querrey winning in straight sets to even the score at one match a piece between Team USA and Spain, Bob & Mike Bryan took the court on Wednesday in the deciding doubles match and posted a straight set win and an overall win for Team USA against Spain.
Starting today (Thursday), Team USA faced-off against the Czech Republic to decide which country in the red group will advance to the AARG ATP World Team Championship Finals and face the winner of the blue group. Leading Team USA was Sam Querrey who continued his perfect singles winning streak with a straight set win of 6-3, 7-5 over Jan Hajek. On Friday, Team USA will continue to battle against the Czech Republic with the second singles match and doubles match to take place in Dusseldorf. It is undecided who will play the second singles match yet between Robby and fellow American John Isner, but check back soon for all the latest updates in Dusseldorf!

Robby Joins Team USA in Dusseldorf for World Team Championships May 18, 2010
After receiving a last minute acceptance in the singles main draw of the 2010 Roland Garros Championships getting underway next week in Paris, Robby hopped over to Dusseldorf, Germany, to play in the AARG ATP World Team Championships for Team USA. Robby will join fellow American teammates already in action including John Isner, Sam Querrey and Bob & Mike Bryan.
Up first, Robby took on Nicolas Almagro of Spain who Team USA is facing off in the Blue Group Round Robin along with team Australia and Czech Republic with France, Germany, Argentina and Serbia in the Red Group Round Robin. After winning the first set 6-3 against the clay court specialist from Spain, Robby lost the second set 7-5 to Almagro forcing the match to a deciding third set. In the final set, it came down to a tiebreaker to determine who would win the third set, and the match, with Almagro barely getting by Robby 7-4 in the tiebreaker. Follwing Robby, Sam Querrey defeated D Gimeno-Traver of Team Spain in straight sets 6-3, 6-4 with Bob & Mike scheduled to play in the deciding doubles match for Team USA to capture the win over Spain.
After the deciding doubles match is completed against Spain, team USA will next take on the Czech Republic to determine who will advance to final group of the AARG ATP World Team Championships. On Monday, Team USA defeated Australia 2-1 winning one singles match and with Querrey and Isner clinching the doubles match. Stay tuned for more results from Dusseldorf!

Bogdanovic Makes for Tough First Round in Bordeaux May 13, 2010
In his first clay court event on 2010, Robby faced a tough opening round opponent at the Bordeaux ATP Challenger already underway in France this week. Robby had never played Bogdanovic prior to their meeting in Bordeaux, and fell in straight sets 6-1, 6-4.

Robby Forced to Retire in Tallahassee Challenger Final April 26, 2010
After cruising to the finals of the Tallahassee Tennis Challenger final on Saturday, Robby was forced to retire in the second set after trailing 6-4, 4-0. En route to the final, Robby only lost one set in his opening round match before facing Brian Dabul in the finals who ended his run.

Straight Set Win Over Ram Secures Spot in Tallahassee Final for Robby April 26, 2010
On Friday evening as the featured night match, Robby took on fellow American Rajeev Ram in the semifinals of the Tallahassee Tennis Challenger for a spot in the Saturday final. On April 19th, Robby will headline the 2010 USTA Tallahassee Tennis Challenger along with fellow Americans Taylor Dent and Kei Nishikori getting underway at the Florida State University campus in Tallahassee, Florida. Robby Falls at the Sony Ericsson Open March 23, 2010
At the 2010 Sony Ericsson Open getting underway in Miami, Florida, this week, Robby faced a tough fate in the qualifying rounds when he took on opponent, and fellow Anerican, Donald Young in the opening round of play. Although Robby was the #14 seed in the men's singles qualifying draw, he was unable to hold-off the young gun who defeated Robby in straight sets 6-3, 6-2.

Seppi Ousts Robby in Three Set Battle at Indian Wells March 15, 2010
At the 2010 BNP Paribas Open in Indian Wells, California, Robby faced a tough first round opponent against Andeas Seppi of Italy. Robby came out blasting in the first set cruising to a 6-2 win, but in the second Seppi fought hard to stay in the match and pushed Robby to a deciding tiebreaker for the set which Seppi won 7-5. In the final set, Robby could not hold-off Seppi and lost it 6-3 for a final match score in Seppi's favour of 2-6, 7-6 (5), 6-3.

Robby Gets Things Started in Indian Wells at Draw Ceremony March 10, 2010
On Tuesday, Robby got things started in Indian Wells for this year's BNP Paribas Open with fellow American player Ryan Harrison at the draw ceremony that took place on the ground at the Indian Wells Tennis Garden. After helping match-up opponents for both the men's and women's draws, Robby found himself up against Andreas Seppi of Italy in the first round.
Robby and Seppi are not scheduled to play on Wednesday, and will likely get underway for their first round action on Thursday. Robby Receives Wildcard in BNP Paribas Open March 08, 2010
Last week the BNP Paribas Open officially announced their wild card recipients for this year's event to be held at the Indian Wells Tennis Garden March 8-21 with Robby being selected as one of the wild card entrants into the main draw along with rising American player Ryan Harrison. In addition to this, Carlos Moya and David Nalbandian.also received wild card entries into the men's singles main draw with one more wild card to be announced.

Robby Stretched to Three Set Battle, Falls to Lu February 17, 2010
In the opening round of the Region Morgan Keegans Championships and Cellular South Cup, Robby took on a first tough round opponent against Yen-Hsun Lu of the Taipei late Tuesday night in Memphis, Tennessee. After getting ahead with a first set win of 6-4, Robby lost the second set 6-4 and was stretched to a third, and deciding, set with Lu. With one break of serve in the third set, Robby fell 6-4 to Lu to take him out of the singles event.
In the doubles action, Robby and partner Travis Rettenmaier got into the main draw as an alternate, but were also unable to advance past the first round after being defeated by Sela/Mayer 6-4, 7-5. Berankis Stuns Robby in San Jose February 10, 2010
Lithuanian qualifier Ricardas Berankis stunned Robby in the opening round of singles play at the SAP Open in San Jose this week after coming back from one set down to defeat Robby in three sets 6-7, 6-2, 6-3. Robby Faces Tough Opening Round at 2010 Australian Open, Falls to Jan Hajek January 19, 2010
Robby faced a tough opening round opponent at the 2010 Australian Open in Melbourne, Australia, on Tuesday night under the lights against Jan Hajek of the Czech Republic. With the first set coming down to a tiebreaker, Robby was unable to hold-off Hajek who closed it out 7-2 followed by the second set which came down to one break of serve at 5-5 with Hajek eventually winning the set 7-5. In the third set, Robby could not rally back against his opponent, and eventually fell in straight sets to Hajek for a final score of 7-6 (2), 7-5, 6-1.

2010 Australian Open Draws Released, Robby to Hit Jan Hajek in First Round January 15, 2010
The 2010 Australian Open draws were released for the first grand slam event of the year on Friday down under in Melbourne, Australia, where players on both the men's and women's tour are gearing up for play set to get underway on Monday. Robby Kicks-off 2010 with Big Win Over Robin Soderling January 05, 2010
In his opening match of the 2010 ATP World Tour Season, Robby kicked things off with a big win against world #8 Robin Soderling at the Aircel Chennai Open on Tuesday. Firing 11 aces and saving seven of eight break points against him, Robby defeated Soderling in straight sets 6-4, 7-5 in just over 90 minutes. Robby Serves Up Robin Soderling in First Match of 2010 January 04, 2010
In his opening round match of the 2010 ATP World Tour season, Robby has served up Robin Soderling in his first round at the Aircel Chennai Open this week in Chennai, India. Soderling is the top seed this week at #1 with the two scheduled to get underway on Tuesday. This will only be Robby's second meeting against Soderling on the Tour, with their previous meeting occuring on red clay in 2007 at the ATP Masters Series in Hamburg when Robby fell to Soderling in three sets. Robby Gets Injured October 27, 2009
Due to a hip/thigh injury, Robby was forced to retire from the match with Ukraine qualifier, Oleksandr Dolgopolov Jr. Dologopolov was up 6-2, 1-0.
Robby should have a speedy recovery and be back in action next week at the Valencia Open.

St. Petersburg Open October 26, 2009
Robby will meet Oleksandr Dolgopolov Jr., from the Ukraine, in the first round of the St. Petersburg Open. This will be the first time they face each other, Dologopolov Jr. is ranked #142, while Ginepri is #88.
The St. Petersburg Open is part of the ATP World Tour 250, held in St. Petersburg, Russia. The tournament began in 1995 and is played on a hard, indoor surface.
Robby is set to play tomorrow at 1p.m.

Robby and Marcel Grannolers faced off for the first time today at the Kremlin Cup in Moscow, Russia, with Robby emerging victorious! He defeated the Spaniard 7– 6 (5) in the first and then cruised through the second set without losing a game and winning it 6-0.

Robby Upsets Top Seed Andreev at Kremlin Cup October 20, 2009
On Tuesday afternoon in Moscow, Robby defeated the 2005 Champion and #4 seed at the 2009 Kremlin Cup, Igor Andreev, 6-3, 6-7 (9), 7-6 (1). In a match lasting 2 hours and 32 minutes, Ginepri pulled out the victory in a third set tie break. He finished with eight aces and one-double fault while winning 76 percent of his first-serve points.This is the second time Robby has upset the Russian, with the last time at the 2008 Roland Garros.
Ginepri is attempting to win consecutive tour-level matches for the first time, since he won the Indianapolis Tennis Championships, in July. Next, Robby will face Marcel Granollers, from Spain, in the second round of the Kremlin Cup; which should be on Thursday, but the time has not been set yet. The two have never played each other before.

Robby Serves Up Andreev First at Kremlin Cup October 19, 2009
This week Robby is in Moscow, Russia, for the Kremlin Cup 2009 where he will face Russian, Igor Andreev in the first round. Robby is currently ranked #65 on the ATP World Singles Tour, while Andreev is ranked #40 and the #4 seed in this event. The two are set to face off tomorrow, Tuesday,on Center Court as the featured night match at not before 6:00 p.m.
The Kremlin Cup is the first International Professional Tennis Tournament in Russia founded in 1990 by a Swiss businessman named Sasson Kakshouri. Check back tomorrow to see how Robby played!

Robby at the Shanghai ATP Masters October 13, 2009
Robby, currently ranked 67th in the world, arrived in Shanghai for the ATP Masters 1000 – presented by Rolex. Shanghai is one of eight cities selected to host the ATP Masters 1000 tour, which is the new top tier tournaments of tennis.
Ginepri, seeded 3rd in the qualifying singles rounds, started against Ya-Nan Ma, from China, easily winning straight sets, 6-3, 6-1. However, he had a hard time in his second round square-off, with Poland’s Lukasz Kubot, and ended up losing 6-2, 6-7 (2), 6-3.

Robby Falls to Verdasco in Beijing October 08, 2009
After blazing through the qualifying rounds, Robby was unfortunately defeated today by Fernando Verdasco, 6-7(7), 6-1, 6-2 in the first round of the China Open in Beijing, China. Robby took the early lead in the match, taking advantage of Verdasco’s errors, but Verdasco eventually got his game and serve together and made the comeback. This being the fourth time they have played, it is now tied at 2-2.

Robby Through Qualifying at the China Open! October 07, 2009
In the first round of the qualifying singles at the China Open in Beijing, China, Robby defeated Ze Zhang (from China) in straight sets 6-4, 6-3. He then kept the momentum going, victorious over the Frenchman, Michael Llodra, 6-3, 6-1 in the second round to qualify for the main draw which only allows 32 players in the draw.
Robby is now scheduled to face Fernando Verdasco, from Spain in the first round, and this is the first time in four years that the two will play. They have played three other times, with Robby winning twice.

Robby and Thai Boxing October 07, 2009
Robby, John Isner and Giles Simon enjoying some down time in Bangkok, were give a demonstration of Thai Martial Arts. The trio was then invited on stage to spar with Thailand’s 2008 Olympic Gold Medalist (flyweight division), Muay Thai Boxer Somjit Jongjohor. Robby, an avid Muay Thai fan, showed some of his skills against Jonhjohor.

Robby will be facing Thailand's No. 1 player, Danai Udomchoke, on Monday, in the first round of the PTT Thailand Open. Robby Stretched to Limit in Five Set Battle Against Almagro September 04, 2009
In the second round of the 2009 US Open, Robby took on #32 seed Nicolas Almagro of Spain on Friday for what turned out to be a long five-set battle. The first set took almost one hour to complete, with Robby pulling it out 9-7 in the tiebreaker. The second and third set resulted with Almagro winning them 6-2 and 6-3, but in the fourth Robby bounced back with a 6-4 win to even the match.
After over three hours of play, Robby and Almagro began the fifth, and deciding, set for a spot in the third round of the US Open, but Robby was unable to hold-off Almagro and eventually fell 6-4.

At the 2009 US Open, Robby got underway on Wednesday, August 2nd, for his first round match against Andrei Pavel of Romania. After falling behind 7-3 in the first, Robby rallied back to win the second set 6-2 followed by the third and fourth sets winning them 6-4, 6-0. Throughout the match, Robby fired eight aces compared to Pavel?s three, and had 37 winners.

Robby returned to the winner?s circle defeating No. 3 seed Sam Querrey July 28, 2009
Robby returned to the winner?s circle at the site of his last ATP World Tour triumph, defeating No. 3 seed Sam Querrey 6-2, 6-4 in an all-American final Sunday at the Indianapolis Tennis Championships presented by Lilly to capture his third title.
Ginepri collected $80,000 and 250 South African Airways 2009 ATP Rankings points with the victory at the ATP World Tour 250 tennis tournament. He also assumed the lead in the Olympus US Open Series Bonus Challenge standings following the first week of the North American summer hard-court circuit.
"This tournament is very special for me. Having won twice here is an amazing feeling," said Ginepri. "When I won here in 2005 I was about in the same position, around No. 100. This one has to be more special as I really never expected it."
Robby broke the big-serving Querrey twice in the opening set, and was given a chance to serve out the match when Querrey double-faulted on break point in the ninth game of the second set. Ginepri delivered on triple match point when Querrey?s overhead return sailed long.
Robby was making his first appearance in a tour-level final since winning the Indianapolis title in 2005 (d. Dent). Robby is now 3-0 in ATP World Tour finals, also winning the grass-court title in 2003 at Newport (d. Melzer). The former World No. 15 had entered the week at No. 95 in the South African Airways 2009 ATP Rankings, but is expected to rise nearly 40 spots with his title effort.
Robby had been slowed early in the year by a nine-day hospital stay due to appendix surgery, returning to action 30 pounds lighter in May, and had only won four of 17 matches coming into Indianapolis. He improved to a 9-13 season mark, and an 18-7 event record in Indianapolis ? placing him fifth on the all-time match wins list at the hard-court tournament.

Robby Hits the Practice Courts April 21, 2009
After suffering from appendicitis in the beginning of March and forced to be sidelined from the game for most of the spring, Robby has the hit the practice courts again and is getting ready for the upcoming summer clay court season in Europe.
Robby has been spending most of his time at home in Georgia recovering and now training, and is looking forward to being back in action in May. Last year Robby had a very successful summer clay court season in Europe and was the only American to reach the 4th round (and second week) of the 2008 Roland Garros in Paris.

Robby Pulls Out of Delray Beach February 22, 2009
This week Robby has pulled out of the International Tennis Championships in Delray Beach, Florida, after sustaining a nagging hip injury last week in Memphis. Although Robby reached the semifinals last year and beat several top seeds including Mardy Fish, he will have to sit out the tournament this year to rest and recover his hip.

In his second round match at the Regions Morgan Keegan Championships and Cellular South Cup in Memphis, Tennessee, this week Robby faced fellow American Andy Roddick - #1 seed ? on Thursday. Roddick fired 11 aces against Robby and converted on four break points to win the match 6-2, 6-2 that was just over an hour to take Robby out of the tournament.
Up next, Robby will head to International Tennis Championships in Delray Beach, Florida, where he reached the semifinals in 2008 with wins over several top seeds including Mardy Fish.

Robby Advances in Memphis February 18, 2009
In his first round at the Regions Morgan Keegan Championships and Cellular South Cup in Memphis, Tennessee, this week, Robby defeated qualifier Simon Greul of Germany 6-4, 6-4 to advance to the second round. Against Greul, Robby saved eight out of nine break points against him, and broke Greul?s serve three times in their match that was completed in a little over an hour.

Robby Heads to Memphis February 14, 2009
After winning his first round of doubles with partner Travis Retennmaier at the SAP Open in San Jose, California, Robby and Travis fell to #4 seed Stephen Huss and Ross Hutchins in the quarterfinals 6-4, 7-6(4). Next, Robby will head to Memphis, Tennessee, where he will get underway in the Regions Morgan Keegans Championship and the Cellular South Cup.
In the first round, Robby will face Simon Greul of Germany, and will not be in action until Tuesday. Robby has only played Greul once before in 2006 at the PNB Paribas Open and won easily 6-1, 6-2. For all the latest updates on Robby make sure and check back soon!

Robby Out of Singles in San Jose February 11, 2009
In his first tournament back in action since the Australian Open, Robby faced American qualifier Todd Widom in his first round match on Tuesday. Although Robby got off good start winning the first set 6-3 against Widom, he was unable to hold him off in the second set which came down to a tiebreaker that Widon won 7-2 to take things to a third set. With only one break of serve in the third set, Widom won the set and knocked Robby out of the singles for a final match score of 3-6, 7-6(2), 6-4.
Up next will be Robby?s first round of doubles with partner Travis Rettenmaier against Frank Moser and Florent Serra. Robby and Travis received a wild card doubles entry this week and will be one of the feature night matches Wednesday.

Robby Back In Action at SAP Open in San Jose February 10, 2009
On Monday, Robby will be back in action at the 2009 SAP Open in San Jose, California, to kick-off one of the first hard court tournaments in the U.S. during the spring hard court season. At the SAP Open, Robby is seeded #8 and will face a qualifier in his first round matchup.
Other top seeds and players at this year?s SAP Open include fellow Americans and top seeds Andy Roddick, James Blake and Sam Querrey along with Juan Martin Del Potro of Argentina. Last year, Robby got to the semifinals of the tournament before falling to Radek Stepanek and after stunning James Blake in the quarterfinals.

Blasting Berdych Beats Robby at the Australian Open January 19, 2009
In the first round of the 2009 Australian Open, Robby faced #20 seed Tomas Berdych of Czechoslovakia on Monday afternoon at Melbourne Park in Australia. Berdych, who came out blasting with his big serve, beat Robby in three sets 6-4, 6-4, 6-3. Robby has played Berdych twice before at the ATP Master Series in France, but has yet to defeat him.

Down to the Wire Against Isner January 14, 2009
In the round of 16 at the Heineken Open, it came down to the wire between Robby and John Isner during their first match-up ever on Wednesday afternoon in Auckland, New Zealand. In the first set, the 6?10? American Isner with a monstrous serve pulled it out 6-4 with one break of serve between the two, but in the second set Robby fought to take it to a tiebreaker that he won 7-1 to even the match at one set a piece.
In the third set, Robby and Isner were neck-and-neck again, this time with things coming down to the wire in the third set tiebreaker at 5-5 before Isner pulling ahead to win the tiebreaker and the match 6-4, 6-7(1), 7-6(5).
Up next Robby will head to Melbourne, Australia, where he will be back in action on January 19th or 20th when the first round matches of the first Grand Slam of the year get underway at the 2009 Australian Open.

Robby Advances to the Round of 16 in Auckland January 13, 2009
At his second tournament of the 2009 season, Robby took on native New Zealand player Jose Statham in his first round match Sunday at the Heineken Open in Auckland, New Zealand. Statham, who was a wild card entry this week, was not tough enough to challenge Robby who breezed through him 6-2, 6-3 to advance to the round of 16.
Up next, Robby will face fellow American John Isner who was a qualifier this week and defeated number seven seed Albert Montanes 7-6 (4), 7-5 in his first round match on Monday. Robby and Isner have never played each other in an ATP event, and will take the court on Wednesday in Auckland for their first match-up.

Robby Gets the 2009 Season Underway at the Brisbane International January 09, 2009
To start off the New Year and new ATP season, Robby headed down under to play his first tournament ? the Brisbane International ? in Australia this week where many other top players were gearing up for the Australian Open (the first Grand Slam of the year). In his first round, Robby drew Frenchman Julien Bennetaue, but after getting off to a good start and capturing the first set 6-3, it was not enough to stop Bennetaue from fighting back and winning the second and third set 6-3, 7-5 to eliminate Robby this week.
